Who Will be Coaching the Teams?
VYB is a 100% volunteer organization. All managers and coaches give their time to the league to coach the kids. Managers and coaches must pass a background check, complete a Babe Ruth coaching certification course, and complete an abuse prevention training course.  All managers and coaches must be approved by the VYB Board.

Team Assignments:
Ages 4-7 will be assigned a team by their Player Agent.  Special requests for coaches and/or teammates are permitted but not guaranteed.  Ages 8-16 will attend tryouts and the teams will be assigned based on a player draft.

When Will We Hear From Our Coach?
Player drafts and team assignments take place between the last week in January and the first week in February.  You will hear from your coach as soon as those are complete.  VYB will communicate via email with more specific dates as that time nears.

Babe Ruth Division Approved Bats:
1. USA Baseball Marking.           2. BBCOR.50.      All bats must have a 2-5/8" barrel.  Note: Solid one-piece wood bats are permitted for use in all divisions and must conform to Rule 1.10. No laminated or experimental bats shall be used in a game.
